Michelle Porchia
For more than twenty years, Michelle Porchia has been conducting seminars, coaching, and speaking all over the United States. As president of inner dimensions, llc, she has an extensive background in human resources, workplace communications, conflict resolution, and training and development. Michelle is the former training manager of HBO, where she developed courses and facilitated sessions for more than 1000 employees and more than 60 teams. In that capacity, she coached managers, team leaders, and employees. In her eleven years there, she also developed HBO’s Performance Review Process and Performance Evaluation Form.
In addressing professional needs, Michelle is an expert in team building and helping teams work effectively together—especially teams that have undergone organizational and/or leadership changes. In both the public and private sectors and from the perspectives of management, exempt staff, and non-exempt staff, Michelle encourages the use of techniques that allow participants to communicate their thoughts and ideas in the most effective manner. She helps people to formulate messages that are clear and effective, to manage conflict, to give and receive feedback, and to become better leaders.
Michelle has a BA in Organizational Communication from California State University, Stanislaus, where she graduated with honors, and an MBA from Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut. Additionally, she is certified in several learning instruments and behavior styles, including MBTI, LIFO, Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument (HBDI), and other psychological and relationship awareness instruments. She has been a featured business expert on various topics in Cosmopolitan Magazine and has appeared on “Good Morning Connecticut,” WTNH – Channel 8.
